Residents of Igboeze north local government area of Enugu state, have been gripped with fear after a lady was found dead in a bush within the community. It was gathered that the deceased was allegedly raped, according to the villagers as she was found partially naked with her underwear missing. Her corpse was discovered in the bush early this morning, thereby throwing the community into panic as to what led to her death. The villagers notified the police who arrived the scene to evacuate the corpse and begin investigation into the death.

Court Orders IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s Arrest.

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the arrest of founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu. The court also directed his trial on charges of treasonable felony should proceed in his absence. Nnamdi Kanu in Israel The court further revoked his bail granted on April 17, 2017. The judge, Justice Binta Nyako, said her order was based on the provisions of Section 352(4) of the Administrative of Criminal Justice Act, 2015. She pointed out Kanu had failed to appear in court since April 25, 2017 without any reasonable explanation. The lead prosecuting counsel, Mr. Magaji Labaran, applied for the court’s orders earlier in the Thursday’s proceedings, an application that Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, opposed. He requested for time to explain why his client had not been in court by filing all necessary papers. Five members of a family in Liberia have been killed by generator fumes. The victims are mother, two sisters, young brother and niece of a politician, Honorable Richard Nagble Koon, Representative of District #11 Montserrado County, Liberia. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 24.

El-Rufai floored his closest rival, Isa Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party with a margin of 231, 259 votes. After the collation that lasted two days, El-Rufai was declared winner by Prof. Muhammed Bello, the state collation officer. Bello said the incumbent governor polled a total of 1, 045, 427 while Ashiru polled 814, 168 votes. There was confusion and commotion after man created a huge scene during the elections yesterday at ward 1, Urban unit 1 located at Methodist church Umuahia, Abia state capital. The yet-to-identified man stripped totally naked to the shock of voters and security personnel in the area. According to Abia Breaking News, the man came to the polling unit and started behaving strangely. When the security agents at the unit accosted him, he was said to be in procession of substance suspected to be Indian hemp. However, he was said to have stripped naked as he created a scene and disrupted the voting process with his dramatic displays as can be seen in a viral video posted online. *Maybe he is mad* or what do you think?

It was gathered that the woman went into labour while trying to exercise her franchise and was helped by some nurses and other women to give birth by the roadside at Rumuchuolu Eneka area in Port-Harcourt. Congratulations to her.
Another set of suspected thugs has been apprehended by vigilant youths in Akwa Ibom, just hours to the governorship and House of Assembly elections today. A bus carrying about 20 political thugs all the way from Edo state – was intercepted in Ikot Esen-Atiamkpat road, Nsit Ubium LGA, Akwa Ibom state. The leader of the group was beaten mercilessly by the mob as he claimed they were brought from Edo to Akwa Ibom to monitor the elections and also provide “security” at polling units. He also said they will receive their full payment after the elections are concluded. This is coming after  various thugs in buses were arrested  by police operatives few days ago in Akwa Ibom state. A young man has been gruesomely killed by suspected cultists in Imo state.

The deceased identified as Noah Okorie but popularly known as ‘Mentor’, said to be a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Owerri, the state capital, was attacked and killed by the rampaging gunmen. The handsome and popular hairstylist was said to have been shot dead yesterday at Umuerim junction near the school gate. His corpse was evacuated this morning by the authorities. Lekan Shonde has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his wife, Ronke Shonde.

51-year-old Lekan, a depot worker in the Apapa area of Lagos State, was found guilty of the murder of his wife and he was today sentenced by the Lagos State High Court. Mrs Ronke Shonde was found dead at her home in Egbeda on the morning of May 6, 2016. The family nanny had arrived to prepare the children for school and found the house locked. Looking through the window, she found Ronke's children crying because they couldn’t get their mummy to wake up.  When the nanny forced the door open, she found that Ronke's body showed signs that she had suffered domestic violence. Her husband, Lekan, was nowhere in sight and his phones were switched off. When he finally spoke to Punch from hiding, he claimed he had nothing to do with his wife's death, in spite of reports he had beaten her to death and was always in the habit of beating her at every slight provocation. Nigerian journalist, Adaagbaga Minda was killed in a auto accident on Tuesday night, March 5, which also happened to be the third anniversary of his younger sister's death. On Tuesday morning, 15 hours before he died, Minda took to Facebook to mark the anniversary of his sister's death. He wrote; "Today mark exactly three years of your departure in this sinful world. May your soul continue to rest with the lord. My dear little Sister" Minda, a State Correspondent at Aljazirah News Nigeria, was hit by a speeding vehicle at Tito Gate, Makurdi.  According to one of Minda's friends, Bem Daniel, few weeks ago, he had posted on Facebook about how life had treated him badly.

man accused of killing his tenant in a brutal attack at the Ashanti Regional community of Gromesa in the newly created Adansi-Akrofuom District, has been arrested at his hideout in Accra. Abraham Mantey was alleged to have cut the throat of his father's tenant, Eric Tetteh, leading to victim's untimely death; throwing the Gromesa community into a state of shock last Sunday. The deceased, Eric Tetteh, a farmer, had his throat slit in the presence of his wife, Evelyn Dansowaa, around 7:00 pm for refusing to vacate his room. Suspect Abraham Mantey had ordered the deceased and his wife to leave the house but they refused, Obuasi Municipal Police Commander, DSP Martin Assenso, said. Abraham, therefore, allegedly attacked him with a machete after a short confrontation, while the couple was preparing supper. Four children burnt to death

Four children of the same mother were burnt to death at their home in Animal Line by Dore Street, off Mciver Market in Warri, Delta State, on Tuesday night, March 5th. The children who were between the ages of six months to six years old, were in their house waiting for their mum to finish preparing dinner when an explosion that engulfed their building occurred. Although the cause of the fire is yet unknown, it is believed that the mother might have been using adulterated kerosene to cook. The mother of the children sustained serious burns and was rushed to Oghara hospital where she is receiving medical attention.  Chairman of the Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi, who was at the scene of the incident on Wednesday morning, said the remains of the children has been deposited in the morgue

The panel which is conducting its proceeding at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal , is headed by Justice Abdul Aboki. Other Justices on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal hearing Atiku’s motion marked CA/A/P/EPT/1/2019, are Justices Emmanuel Agim and Peter Ige.
